WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU SMILED?

  • The second week of August is National Smile Week, so I want to give you something to smile about!

First, some interesting facts about smiling to brighten your day. Did you know that the human faces has 44 muscles that give you the ability to make more than 5,000 facial expressions? Further, smiling is actually good for your health. According to a recent study in Psychological Science, people who smile during stressful situations are significantly less stressed than those who aren’t smiling … so there just might be something to the old adage, “Grin and Bear it”. I’m sure you also know that smiles are contagious. When someone smiles at you, it’s instinctual to smile back. Try it … pay forward the body’s natural stress-reducer by smiling at the next person you see. A little smiling can help to make our world a better place and we would all welcome that :) But let’s take it even further than that.
